Looks Factory Fitted Our Dolphin Automotive range of van reversing cameras are designed to fit so well they look like original factory fitted equipment. By replacing the housing of the high level brake light you remove the need to drill holes into the metal bodywork of the van which can often lead to issues with corrosion further down the line. It also helps keep the streamline design of the vehicle so you do not have an object sticking up above the roof that can get caught on things. Designed specifically for the 2nd generation (906 NCV3) Mercedes Benz Sprinter from 2007 to 2018 and also fitting the 3rd generation from 2019 onwards (907/910 VS30) if your van or minibus looks similar to this with a brake light that is 34cm wide and about 3.5cm high, the screw holes are about 30.5cm apart) then its a direct replacement. This also fits the VW Crafter from 2007 to 2017 which used the same chassis. Brake Light Functionality Maintained In all instances our brake light cameras maintain the functionality of your 3rd brake light. This Mercedes Sprinter dual camera here is a replacement lens cover to your brake light so you don't have to worry about any of the workings or wiring of the actual brake light itself as it all remains intact and works just as normal. This leaves you with a professional finish and OEM designed look for your light commercial vehicle, not an aftermarket / afterthought piece of poor retrofit DIY. In Operation If purchasing with one of our monitor options below, then the wiring is design for your rearview camera to be on whilst driving, or at least whilst not in reverse gear. The parking camera facing down comes on instead when you select reverse gear and the monitor automatically switches over to this view. The monitors are too small for a dual / split screen view but if you want to run one of the cameras to a separate second monitor then it is possible to have both wired to be on at the same time. Adjustable Camera Angles As the size and design of the brake light housing allows, we have taken the opportunity to add a small amount of adjustment with a ball-socket for final alignment but as standard all our cameras have been designed to give what we believe is the optimum angle looking down at the rear bumper to make best use of those final few feet when reversing in limited space. You can buy our cameras on their own if you already have a compatible head unit you can plug them into or we offer a range of dashboard mounted and rear view mirror mounted monitors. Please note some modern inbuilt manufacturer supplied head units my not use a standard Phono/RCA input or may need ‘programming’ to switch the reversing camera option to On with the vehicles ECU management system so check this out. Our Range Of Monitors The 4.3 inch dual dash monitor is sat nav sized, sits on an adjustable bracket which comes with a pad to adhere to the dashboard. It can also be turned around so it would be possible to adhere this to the windscreen if you wanted. When powered the screen stays blank until an image signal is received. Ideal for our dual rear camera systems where you can see both views at the same time if you wish to wire them both to an ignition feed rather than one of them to reverse. The mounting bracket comes with an adhere pad but iti can also be screwed down to your dashboard.
