I've worked with several eyepiece adapters meant to attach a smartphone to a telescope, monocular, or similar device. The major flaw is that they attach a bulky smartphone directly to a scope sensitive to the slightest jarring motion. The Heayzoki camera connects to the phone with a USB-C cable, so I can comfortably hold my phone while separately adjusting the monocular focus and position.For $35, this Heayzoki camera is impressive. It supports the UVC standard and connects to my phone via USB-OTG. The images are only 640x480, but I am okay with that because I can push the camera up close to the monocular lens. The regular cell phone adapters give a round image with lots of surrounding black. The images from this camera are square, so every pixel counts.The camera has a QR sticker for downloading the camera software. I stopped when I saw my phone OS warn me that the software was from a questionable site. Google Play has several free camera apps from approved sites that work fine with UVC-compliant cameras like this one.The camera has a big, plastic cylindrical shroud that slips over the eyepiece of the monocular. That shroud didn't fit anything I have, so I Dremeled it off and attached the camera to an adjustable adapter I had from an old cell phone adapter. I like this setup, and it competes with cameras close to $90.
