I love using this thing. I go for long hikes to look for and photograph birds. A traditional neck camera strap is awful for what I tend to do. This product makes it so much more comfortable and enjoyable. I have been using this with my Canon 400m f/5.6. I am just a shade under 6'1" tall and using this my my 400mm lens with the lens hood extended is probably about as long as you can go. The end of the lens stops right about my genitals. Any longer of a lens on there and it will definitely bounce a bit against your junk while you are walking. This thing keeps your camera and lens very secure. It can be a bit of a pain to adjust this to fit properly but it is well worth the struggle. If you have somebody to help you adjust it to fit your body then that would make it a lot easier. People might complain that you can't unholster your camera as fast as you would like but it really is not a big deal. In fact, I don't think there's anything that could be done that would make it slide out any faster without seriously compromising it's ability to keep your camera secure. It's really not a big deal though so I wouldn't worry about that. When it comes down to it you are still able to unholster your camera in a second or less. I love that it comes with a strap that hooks your camera to the vest in case you drop it. So what I find myself doing is after I walk to an area where I'm about to start photographing I unholster my camera so I'm just handholding it but I have that security strap still attached so if I drop the camera it will not hit the ground. I am almost to the point with the length of the strap that I would prefer a bit of a longer one that would still keep it from hitting the ground. To sum it up, this vest is awesome and if you are going to walk long distances or spend a lot of time out in the field with your camera and do not want the neck strain from a regular neck strap and you don't want to wear your camera on your side, which could easily snag on things and bounce around a lot, then this is definitely worth the money.
