After purchasing the 7 inch monitor/camera kit and having a good experience with it, bought this to have an extra camera that I mounted on the ball mount for backing up to the trailer hitch. The manual states you have to sync it but it was plug and play.I mounted it a couple feet above the ball mount so that the camera mostly looks down on the ball but slightly tilted so I can see 6-8ft of the approach to the trailer hitch. It took a couple times to get used to the parallax but now can get the hitch the first time. It's been a time and hassle saver.Don't know yet about longevity but picture quality and operation are good so far so considering additional cameras.Comes with approx 7 ft of power cable that has the plug for the camera on one end, bare wires on the other end. Also has 2 wire splice connectors, bracket, and screws/wrench to mount the camera to the bracket, 2 self drilling sheet metal screws about 3/4 inch long to mount the bracket.Update July 22, 2020: Purchased another one to use as a portable unit for loading a car on a trailer (to look at the trailer ramp and tire) and on other occasions to look down the passenger side of our trailer. This unit needed to be sync’d but it did so easily from the menu on the display.
