I purchased this tool storage a couple years ago, and use it daily as my job is a traveling road tech. This case is made of durable plastic, that takes a beating and keeps protecting my tools. I fly to different states and TSA must attempt murder on this tool box. Everytime i travel i look and there are new cuts scratches and sometime missing hardware (screws) but this case take it and is still working hard protecting my items. This is one of the best purchases i have made. If you are looking for a tool case that can take a beating and protect your expensive tools, this is the one.I use a 21" toolbag to store tools when traveling to worksites. As I added more tools to the mix, the bag became heavier and I needed a roller toolbag. This Pelican case perfectly suits my needs-theres enough volume to take all my tools and even my steel toe boots! The one drawback is that it's a heavy assembly, something to consider if you're already near the 50lb checked luggage limit if you fly for work.Pelican fit and finish, but with that comes weight, super secure knowing my gear won’t get crushed, this is the one pelican I bought that seems bigger than I thought it would be, but that’s my lack of perspective and imaginationGreat case, size is a bit awkward for me.Study the dimensions and geometry before you buy this.I did not and now have a very durable footstool.Wanted to carry my laptop, laptop accessories and a spare monitor.Could not make this work well.My fault.A nice wide case that does not always try and flop around on the sidewalks, a top loader that I can sit on also. I find the top loader better for opening up in the field, as it keeps less dirt from getting in. The case does weigh around 15lbs, but I use it daily to commute with my laptops in it.Yellow, everyone can see it, great for sidewalks and heat, but does scream "I'm Here" if in a car, so just be cautious as to how it's displayed.I purchased this used, it arrived to my door and was in near new condition. I didn't need all the foam that came with it , but managed to find other purposes for it. I would recommend Pelican for it's top quality and value. A bit pricey, but will last forever.this thing is large. the extendable handle is removable, but there will be holes left where two of the screws went. i filled mine with some mold-able rubber. it's a pelican case, .. you should know what you're getting, and that's it's quality.Typical Pelican quality. Received it in time for my ham radio event. Worked great loaded up with two (2) 12 V 35A deep cycle batteries and radio equipment. Had to roll it about 1/4 mile to staging area. Worked great! Could never have carried all of that weight. Is very well constructed and plenty sturdy.
